How we handle the information you send us.

Who we are

What we collect
When you contact us. The quote form asks for your name, phone number, email address, the city or lake your project is on, the type of project, your timeline and anything you choose to tell us. You give us all of it deliberately — we collect nothing from the form unless you fill it in and submit it. The form also records which page you sent it from, so we know what you were reading when you got in touch.
When you browse. If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages are read, roughly where in the world visitors are, what device and browser they use, how they arrived, and which buttons they click — including when someone taps a phone number or submits the form. Google Analytics does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to work it out.
If you decline, Google still receives a basic, cookieless signal that a page was viewed. It cannot be tied to you, to a device, or to any earlier or later visit.
Cookies, and the bar at the bottom of the page
This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies until you accept. That is the default, not a setting you have to go and find. Decline and the site works exactly the same — nothing is held back behind consent.
Your choice is stored in your own browser so we do not ask again. It lives on that browser only; clearing your site data brings the bar back. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Who else sees it
- Netlify hosts this website and receives quote form submissions, passing them to us by email.
- Google receives analytics data through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, subject to the consent choice above.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to marketing lists. Beyond the two services above and anyone we are legally required to tell, nobody else gets it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations. Google Analytics data is set to expire after 14 months.
Your rights in Texas
Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold information about you, and show you what it is;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- give you a copy in a portable form;
- stop using it for targeted advertising, for sale, or for profiling that has a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
Email hello@dcsignaturewoodworks.com or call (817) 564-8606 and tell us what you want done. We will not charge you or make it difficult. If we refuse a request you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond in writing within 60 days — and if we still say no, you can complain to the Texas Attorney General.
We also honour recognised browser-level opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, where your browser sends one.
Children
This site is for people hiring a contractor. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and enquiries reach us through the hosting provider named above. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or identity documents through the form.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top is updated. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
