We build the parts of a house that live outside.

A North Texas carpentry outfit that would rather explain why a footing is the size it is than talk you into an upgrade you don't need.

Who we are

Dean Jones started DC Signature Woodworks in 2020 after enough years on other people's crews to have strong opinions about how this work should be done.

● Client input needed

Replace this section with the real story. Who started it, when, what they did before, and the specific thing that made them want to run their own crew. Two or three honest paragraphs beat a page of adjectives.

What hasn't changed is the approach: build for the ground and the climate we actually have, price it honestly up front, and be the crew that turns up on the day we said we would.

How we work

Five things we'd want from a contractor, so they're the five things we do.

Keep scrolling to explore
Step 01

Say what it will cost, then hold to it

A fixed quote, not a range that drifts. If we get something wrong in our estimating, that's ours to absorb, not yours.

Step 02

Build for the ground we've got

Expansive clay and hundred-degree summers are not edge cases here. Everything we do underground is sized for them.

Step 03

Explain the boring parts

Footing depth, permit thresholds, why one board runs cooler than another. You should be able to judge our work, not just trust it.

Step 04

Turn up when we said

A named crew, dates in writing, and a call before anything loud happens.

Step 05

Say no when no is the answer

If your lake won't permit a dock, or your fence is worth repairing rather than replacing, that's what we'll tell you.

What clients say

“They dug our fence posts deeper than the last company and explained exactly why. Something about how much this soil moves. Three summers later it's still dead straight.”

“We had three bids. Two gave us a price. These guys gave us a drawing, a material comparison and a start date, then hit it.”

“The dock permit was the part I was dreading. They'd done it on this lake before and just handled the paperwork.”

Credentials

We're licensed and insured, and we'll show you the certificates before you ask. For waterfront work that matters more than most people realize — several Texas water authorities require the contractor to carry specific coverage and name them as an additional insured before a permit can even be submitted.

● Client input needed

List real credentials here: license numbers, insurance carrier and limits, BBB rating, NADRA or trade association membership, manufacturer certifications (TimberTech, Trex, Fortress), which cities you're registered as a contractor with, and years in business. Every one of these is a trust signal and a ranking signal.
